AAC blocks are sustainable construction material made from aggregates of calcined gypsum, water, quartz sand, aluminium powder, lime, and portland cement. It is a foam concrete and precast based formation. The concrete is autoclaved after mixing and moulding, then is done under heat and pressure that gives distinctive properties to it.
AAC or Autoclaved Aerated Concrete is a certified green building material which is eco-friendly and lightweight in nature. In comparison with red bricks, these AAC blocks are 3 times lighter, durable, load-bearing, and high-insulating building blocks.
These blocks suit best for both interior and exterior construction. These are coated and painted with a stucco or plaster compound, this is done to protect against the foreign elements, mainly covered with siding materials like vinyl siding and veneer brick. These blocks have a tendency to quickly settle and can be sanded, routed, or cut to size on site. This can be achieved through the use of standard power tools with carbon steel cutters.
